Answer : The mass of 3.011\times 10^{24} atoms of carbon is, 60 g

Solution : Given,

Number of carbon atoms = 3.011\times 10^{24}

Molar mass of carbon = 12 g/mole

First we have to calculate the moles of carbon atom.

As, 6.022\times 10^{23} atoms of carbon present in 1 mole of carbon

So, 3.011\times 10^{24} atoms of carbon present in \frac{3.011\times 10^{24}}{6.022\times 10^{23}}=5 moles of carbon

Now we have to calculate the mass of carbon atom.

\text{Mass of C}=\text{Moles of C}\times \text{Molar mass of C}

\text{Mass of C}=(5moles)\times (12g/mole)=60g

Therefore, the mass of 3.011\times 10^{24} atoms of carbon is, 60 g
