We have to calculate the mass by volume percentage of 20% solution by mass of sulphuric acid. density of solution is 1.1 g/ml

solution : it has given that, 20% by mass sulphuric acid presents in the solution.

so in 100g solution, 20g of sulphuric acid is present.

now the volume of solution = mass of solution/ density of solution

= 100g / 1.1 g/ml

= 100/1.1 ml

= 90.9 ml

now mass by volume percentage = mass of solute/volume of solution × 100

= mass of sulphuric acid/volume of solution × 100

= 20g/90.9 × 100

= 2000/90.9

≈ 22 %

Therefore mass by volume percentage of given solution is 22 %

Answer:
