The mass of 0.5 moles of glucose is 90 grams.

Given: 0.5 moles of glucose.

To find: We have to find mass in gram of 0.5 moles of glucose.

Solution:

The chemical formula of glucose is C_6H_{12}O_6.

So, the molecular weight of Carbon is 12,

Hydrogen is 1 and oxygen is 16.

So, the molecular weight of glucose is-

12 \times 6 + 12 \times 1 + 16 \times 6 = 180

1 mole of glucose has a molecular mass of 180 grams.

Thus 0.5 mole of glucose has a molecular mass of

180 \times 0.5 = 90

Thus the mass of 0.5 moles of glucose is 90 grams.
