Nitrogen gas in N2

Molecular mass of 1 mole of N2 is 28g

0.5 moles of N2 = 1/2 mole of N2= 1/2 * 28= 14g

mass of 1 mole of nitrogen gas (N2) = 14*2 = 28 grams
therefore,
mass of 0.5 moles of nitrogen gas =28*0.5
                                                   = 14 grams
