heya it's Aastha....
◆sugar = C12H22O11
◆mass of C = 12u mass of H = 1u mass of O = 16u
amu of sugar =( 12*12) + (1*22)+ (16*11)
=144 + 22 + 176 = 342u
◆molar mass = 342 gram
◆mass = no. of moles * molar mass = 0.5 * 342 = 171 gram
I hope it help you

Chemical formula of Sugar is C12H22O11 .
One mole of sugar weighs = Gram molecular mass of sugar.
Now, Gram molecular mass = 12(12) + 22 + 11( 16) = 144 + 22 + 176 = 342 .
Let the Weight of 0.5 moles be x
We have,
1 mole => 342 g.
0.5 mole => xg.
x = 0.5 * 342 = 171 .
Therefore, Mass of 0.5 moles is 171 g.
