since 6.022*10 raised to power 23 atoms of carbon weighs 12gm........

so 12.044*10 raised to power 23 atoms of carbon weighs 24gm....

u may also calc. this as.....

1 mole carbon weighs 12gm... and

12.044*10 raised to power 23 contains 2 mole carbon atoms ...

so 24gm is the ans,..

Given:

12.044 × 1023 carbon atoms are present.

To Find:

The mass of 12.044 × 1023 carbon atoms.

Solution:

As we know,

1 mole has

 6.022 \times {10}^{23} atoms

And,

The mass of 1-mole carbon is 12 grams.

So,

 6.022 \times {10}^{23} atoms = 12 \: gram

1atom \: = \frac{12}{ 6.022 \times {10}^{23}} gram

So,

mass \: of \: 12.044 × {10}^{23} atoms \: =

\frac{12}{ 6.022 \times {10}^{23}} \times 12.044 \: \times {10}^{23} gram

 = 24 \: gram

Henceforth, the mass of 12.044 × 1023 carbon atoms is 24 grams.
