Given :

  • Number of moles of methane CH4 = 4.3 mol

To find :

  • mass of methane CH4.

Formula used :

n \:  =  \dfrac{mass}{molar \: mass}

where n is number of moles.

Solution :

Number of moles of methane CH4 = 4.3 mol

Now we will find mass of methane CH4 by using the formula :-

 \implies \: n \:  =  \dfrac{mass}{molar \: mass}

Molar mass of methane = 12 + (4×1) = 16 u

 \implies \: 4.3  =  \dfrac{mass}{16}

\implies \: 4.3   \times 16=  mass

\implies \:  \dfrac{43}{10}   \times 16=  mass

\implies \:  \dfrac{688}{10} =  mass

\implies \:  {68.8} =  mass

Therefore mass of methane = 68.8 g

Answer :

Mass of 4.30 mol of methane CH4 = 68.8 g.
