Given :
Force of the body, F = 0.8 N
Acceleration produced by the body, a = 2 m/s²
To Find :
The mass of a body
Solution :
As we are provided with froce and accerlation we can use Newton's 2nd law of motion .i.e.,
" the rate of change of linear Momentum of the body is proportional to the net external force acting on it "
In order words,
➠ F = ma
Here, F denotes Force, m denotes Mass and a denotes acceleration.
by, substituting all the given values,
➠ 0.8 = (m)(2)
➠ m = 0.8/2
➠ m = 0.4 kg
thus, the mass of a body is 0.4 kg.
