Calculate the mass of a body, which is moving with an acceleration of 1.4ms-2, when a force of 25 kgf
acts on it.[g = 9.8 ms-2]

25 kgf = 9.8×25 N = 245 N

F = ma
245 = m × 1.4
m = 245 ÷ 1.4 = 175 kg

Answer: 175kg

Explanation: First convert kgf into Newton because Newton is the SI unit of force. To do that:-

25kgf=25kg*9.8m/s2

=245N

Then use the formula:-

F=m*a

245N=1.4m/s2*m

245N/1.4m/s2=m

175kg=m

So, mass of body is 175kg.
