Relative density = density of the body/density of water
0.52 = d/1000kg/m³

Thus, density of the object = 0.52 × 1000kg/m³
                                            = 520kg/m³

Mass = density × volume
          = 520kg/m³ × 2m³

           = 1040kg

Volume of the body V = 2 m3 Relative density of the body = Density of the body/Density of water Density of the body = R.D. x Density of water                                  = 0.5 x 1000 kg/m3 = 500 kg/m3 Therefore mass of the body = volume x density                                              = 2 m3 x 0.5 x 1000 kg/m3                                                                  = 1000 kg.
