1.788×10^-22  Grams

Given:

The Atomic Mass of Silver = 108 u

To Find:

The Mass of an atom of Silver

Calculating:

1 mole of Silver = 108

The no of atoms in one mole = 6.022 x 10^23 atoms

This number is called as Avogadro's constant it was proposed by a scientist named Amedeo Avogadro .

So, here to find the mass of one atom you have to Divide the Atomic mass of Silver by Avogadro's constant.

= 108 / 6.022 x 10^23

= 17.88×10^-23

= 1.788×10^-22  grams

Therefore, the mass of one  atom of silver is 1.788×10^-22  grams.
