Lets start by calculating mass of CO2.... = 12 + 16(2) = 12 + 32 = 44g
Then we know that than 12 g of C are required here to make 44 g of CO2 .... so how many g of C are required to make 150 g of CO2 (do cross multiplication)
150 * 12 /44 = 40.9g of C or almost equal to 41 g of C
