Hi,

Molecular mass of carbondioxide (CO₂) is   = 12+ (2 × 16)

                                                                      = 44 g

12  g of carbon is present in 44 g of Carbondioxide.

Therefore, mass of carbon present in 2 of Carbondioxide is = 12/44 × 2

                                                                                                  = 0.545 g

Hope this answers your question,

Best Wishes!
