Explanation:

The amount of carbon dioxide produced on combustion of 24 grams of methane is 66 grams. It is clear from above reaction that when 1 mole of methane is reacted with 2 moles of oxygen we get one mole of CO2 and 2 moles of water. So 24 grams of CH4 gives 66 grams of CO2.
