calculate the mass of Co2 which will contain same number of molecules as in 40 gram of oxygen

Given----

For oxygen,

Mass of the oxygen = 40 grams.

Molecular mass of the oxygen = 32 grams.

Thus, number of molecules =( mass/ molecular mass) x Avogadro's number.

                                           = (40/32) x Avogadro's number.

Molecular mass of carbon dioxide = 44 grams.

Thus, number of molecules = (mass/44) x Avogadro's number.

According to the question,

Number of molecules of CO2 = Number of moecules of O2

Therefore,  Mass/44 = 40/32

                       Mass of CO2 = 55 grams.

Thus, mass of carbon dioxide (CO2) = 55 grams.
