Calculate the mass of oxygen atom present in 50 g of CaCO3?

The molecular formula of CaCO3 is 40+12+(16)3= 100

Hence, we have 50/100= 0.5mol of CaCO3.

From the formula, we can see that in 1 mol of CaCO3, 3 mol of oxygen atoms are present.

Hence, in 0.5 mol, we have 1.5 mol of oxygen atoms.

ANS:- 1.5×12= 18 grams.
