NOW Here CaCO3 has molecular mass of
40+12+48=100 therefore oxygen contribution percentage is 48/100 i.e 48%
Now,
0.1 mole of CaCO3 has molecular mass of 10 g. So it contains 48%of 10 g of oxygen. i.e 4.8 g of oxygen..
No.of moles of oxygen =given mass/molar mass.
So n=4.8/16=0.3 i.e 0.3 moles of oxygen atom.
If u consider O2 molecule then no. Of moles will be halved and ans. Will be 0.15 moles of oxygen molecule..
