by using formula mass of solute/mass of solution into 100
let solute be x
10%s = x/x +10 X 100
10% X 100= x/x+10
10 X ( x + 10) = x
10x + 100 = x
10x - x = 100
9x = 100
x = 100/9
x = 11.1
Hope this helps! Cheers!!

A 10% mass solution in 100g of water means x/(100 + x) = 1/10 where x = mass required.
100 + x = 10x
100 = 9x
x = 100/9 = 11.11g of potassium sulphate are required
100 + x = 10x
100 = 9x
x = 100/9 = 11.11g of potassium sulphate are required
