the mass of sodium sulfate required to prepare it's 20% solution in 100g of water is calculated as follows:

mass percentage = mass of solute / mass  of solution ]*100

20% = mass of sodium sulfate  /100 g]*100

Mass of sodium sulfate = 20*100/100

= 20 g

Let mass of solute = x

Then solvent = 100g

20 = x/x+100×100

20/100 = x/x+100

1/5 = x/x+100

5x = x+100

4x = 100

x = 25 g

Hope it will help you
