mass of sulphur molecule = 256 amu

mass of hcl. = 36.5 amu

so total mass = 256+36.5 = 292.5 amu

sulphur has 8 atoms so its mass is 8 x 32 = 256 amu

hydrochloric acid = hcl so, i atom of hydrogen and 1 atom of chlorine,so..

1+35.5=36.5 amu
