Mass of sucrose = 10g
Mass percentage = 10%
Mass % = Mass of solute / Mass of solution
==> 10 = 10/x × 100
==> x = 1000/10
==> x = 100 g
Mass of solvent ( water ) required:
==> mass of solution - mass of solute
==> 100 - 10
==> 90 g
