Fe(NH4)2 (SO4)2 (H2O)6 is known as mohar salt

Molar mass of mohar salt is calculate das follows:

                    Molarmass of Mohr's salt = 55.84 + 2 (14.01 +4) + 2(32.07 +4(16)) + 6 (2+16)

                                                            =55.84 + 36.02 +192.14 + 108

                                                            =392 g/mol

Molar mass of H2O = 18.02 g/ mole

Amount of water = 6* 18.02 g/ mole

= 108.12 g/ mole

Hence mass % of H2O  = { Mass of H2O  / Mass of Mohr'ssalt} x 100

                                ={ 108.12 / 392} x 100

                                =27.58 %
