Explanation:

Given :

water required to prepare 200g of 15 percent mass by mass solution of cane sugar in water.

To find :

1)The masses of cane sugar

2) mass solution of cane sugar in water.

Solution :

mass percent of cane sugar is = 15

we know that,

mass percentage = mass of solute/mass of solution x 100 (formula)

so,

1) 15 = mass of cane sugar/200 x 100

mass of cane sugar = 15 x 200/100

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = 30 g

2) mass of cane sugar in water

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = 200 - 30

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ = 170 g

=> The mass of cane sugar is 30g and mass solution of cane sugar in water. is 170 g
