mass percentage = mass of solute* 100/ mass of solution
                    15 %=mass of suger *100/ 200
so, mass of suger = 15*200/100
                                  = 30 g
mass of water =mass of solution + mass of suger
                       = 200+ 30
                         =230 g

Concept

The solute is the substance that is dissolved in solution and the solvent is the substance in which a solute is dissolved or we can say that solvent has an efficiency to dissolve solvent.

Given

The mass of the sugar cane given is 200g

percentage mass given is 15%

Find

We need to find the mass by mass solution

Solution

mass percentage = mass of solute* 100/ mass of solution

15 %=mass of sugar *100/ 200

so, mass of sugar = 15*200/100 = 30g

mass of water =mass of solution + mass of sugar

                        = 200+ 30

                           =230 g

Hence the mass by mass solution in water is 230g
