Calculate the maximum horizontal distance travelled by a ball thrown with velocity of 20m/s without hittimg the ceailing of an auditorium of height 10m

h(max) =  \frac{ {u}^{2} {sin}^{2} \alpha   }{2g}
10 =  \frac{400 \times  {sin}^{2} \alpha  }{20}
 \sin \alpha =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{2} }
 \alpha  = 45

NOW,
range =  \frac{ {u}^{2} \sin(2 \alpha )  }{g}
range =  \frac{400 \times 1}{20}  = 20meters
