calculate the molarity of NaOH in the solution prepared by dissolving 0.5 mole of NaOH in 1000 ml of water​

Molecular mass of NAOH = 23+16+1

= 40

Weight of solute= 20 gm(0.5 = 20 gm)

volume of solution = 1000ml

molarity. = weight of solute/ molecular mass/volume of solution ( in litre)

molarity= 20/40/1000/1000

= 20×1000/40×1000

= 1/2

=0.5 mol/litre
