no. of moles=given mass/molar mass
=4/40=0.1
molarity =no. of moles/volume in litres.
=0.1×1000/250
=0.4moles/L.

we know that molarity =(given weight*1000)/molecular weight *volume
here molecular weight of NaOH=23+16+1=40
thus molarity =(4*1000)/40*250
=(4*4)/40=2/5=0.4 mole/litre
