Number of moles of C₂H₅OH=46/46=1

Molar mass of H₂O=2+16=18

Number of moles of H₂O=90/18=5

Mole fraction of C₂H₅OH=Number of moles of C₂H₅OH/Number of moles of solution

Substituting the datas we get

Mole fraction of C₂H₅OH=1/5+1=1/6=0.16

1. Number of moles of a substance=Given mass/Molar mass of the substance
