Answer:

         0.9

Explanation:

98% aqua H2SO4 solution ⇒ 98g H₂SO₄ in 100g solution

weight of solvent = weight of water = 100 - 98 = 2g

molecular mass of solute  = M₂ = molecular mass of H₂SO₄ = 98g

weight of solute = weight of H₂SO₄ = 98g

no of moles of H₂SO₄ =molecular mass of H₂SO₄/weight of H₂SO₄= 98/98=1

no of moles of H₂SO₄ = n₂ = 1

molecular mass of solvent  = M₁ = molecular mass of H₂O = 18g

weight of solvent = weight of H₂O = 2g

no of moles of H₂O = molecular mass of H₂O/weight of H₂O =2/18 = 1/9 = 0.1

no of moles of H₂O = n₁ = 0.1

Mole fraction of solute =mole fraction of H₂SO₄ = Χ₂ = n₂ / n₁ + n₂

Χ₂ = 1 / 1 + 0.1

Χ₂ = 1 / 1.1

Χ₂ = 0.9
