To calculate the molar mass or molecular mass of a compound :-

  1. Write the atomic mass of each element present in the compound.
  2. Multiply the atomic mass by the number of atoms (coefficients) present.
  3. Now add all the atomic mass× atoms present (not the avogadro number).
