glucose has 6 carbon molecule, 12 hydrogen and 6 oxygen atoms .

using the periodic table the atomic mass of C, H and o are obtained.

So the molar mass of C6H12O6 is 72.06 g + 12.096 g + 96.00 g = 180.156 g or 180.16 g
