ᴘᴀɴᴛʜᴇʀɪᴏ's ʀᴇsᴘᴏɴsᴇ:-
Given:-
- Unified mass of Hydrogen (H) = 1 u
- Unified mass of Oxygen (O) = 16 u
To Find: Molecular mass.
Here,
- No. of atoms of Hydrogen = 2
- No. of atoms of Oxygen = 1
∴ Mass becomes = (1 u × 2) + (16 u × 1)
= 2 u + 16 u
= 18 u
∴ Mass of Water = 18 u
[Molar mass = 18 g/mol.]
