Given :-

  • Mass (m) = 450 g
  • Velocity (v) = 120 km/h

To find :-

  • Momentum (P) = ?

Solution :-

  • Firstly, convert mass from g into kg.

As we know,

  • \sf{1~kg~=~\dfrac{1}{1000}g}

  • Divide 450 by 1000.

  • Mass = 0.45 kg

  • Secondly, convert the velocity from km/h into m/s

  • To convert from km/h to m/s. Divide the given value by 5/18

  • Velocity = 120 × 5/18

Momentum (P) = mass (m) × velocity (v)

\implies 0.45 × 120 × 5/18

\implies 15 m/s

  • Momentum = 15 m/s

Given :-

  • Mass (m) = 450 g

  • Velocity (v) = 120 km/h

To find :-

  • Momentum (P) = ?

Solution :-

  • Convert mass from g into kg.

As we know,

\sf{1~kg~=~\dfrac{1}{1000}g}

  • Mass = 0.45 kg

  • Convert the velocity from km/h into m/s

To convert from km/h to m/s. Divide the given value by 5/18

  • Velocity = 120 × 5/18

Momentum (P) = mass (m) × velocity (v)

⟹ 0.45 × 120 × 5/18

⟹ 15 m/s

  • Momentum = 15 m/s
