Question:-

Calculate the momentum of a toy car of mass 200 g moving with a speed of 5m/s

Solution:-

Momentum ( p ) = ?

Mass = 200 g

=> convert into kg :- we get, = 0.2 kg

Speed = 5m/s

 \boxed { \blue { \bf \: formula : p = m \times v}}

p = 0.2 kg × 5 m/s

p = 1 kg m/s

  \boxed { \red { \bf\: momentum ( p) = 1 \: kgms {}^{ - 1} }}

Given ,

Mass (m) = 200 g or 0.2 kg

Velocity (v) = 5 m/s

We know that ,

The product of mass and velocity is known as momentum

It is denoted by " P "

P = mv

The SI unit of momentum is kg.m/s

Thus ,

P = 0.2 × 5

P = 1 kg.m/s

 \sf \therefore \underline{The \:  momentum \:  of  \: toy \:  car  \: is \:  1 \:  kg.m/s}
