Electrical energy consumed;

=\sf{\dfrac{ No \: of \: appliance\: × Power × time}{1000}}

From question we have;

  • Power = 40w + 80w + 250w = 370w
  • Time = 6 + 12 + 6 = 24
  • No of appliance = 4 + 3 + 1 = 8

Put all the values in the above formula:-

=\sf{\dfrac{8× 370 × 24}{1000}}

= \sf{\dfrac{2960× 24}{1000}}

= \sf{\dfrac{71,040}{1000}}

= \sf{71.04}

Now, cost of electricity consumed;

= 6.50 × 71.04

= Rs 461.76
