Explanation:

Here we are given with the force applied by two teams on two sides of the rope which is being pulled by the teams. So, we have to judge whether which is the greater force and in turn who will win?

GiveN:

  • 7N, 10N, 8N Vs 9N, 7N, 5N

On the left side of the rope, where a number of forces are pulling the rope, to get the total force of the team, we can simply adding them:

➝ Total force = 7 N + 10 N + 8 N

➝ Total force = 25 N

On the right side of the rope, where again another number of forces are pulling the rope, to get the total force of the this team, we can simply add them:

➝ Total force = 9 N + 7 N + 5 N

➝ Total force = 21 N

So, here we can see that left force is having a total force of 25 N and the right force is having a total force of 21 N. Then, force on left side is greater than force on right side.

Winning team is:

 \large{ \boxed{ \red{ \sf{7N \: 10N\: 8N\: will \: win}}}}

Net force = 4 N towards left

And we are done !!

Given:

  • Force of one side = 7N, 10N and 8N
  • Force of other side= 9N, 7N and 5N

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Need to find :

  • Which side will win

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Solution:

Tug of war is a sport with two teams against each other in a test of strength. The goal being to bring the rope a certain distance in one direction against the force of the opposing team's pull.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

For the first team,

Total Force:

= 7N +10N + 8N

=\bold{\purple{\boxed{25 N}}}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

For 2nd Team:

Total Force:

= 9N+ 7N + 5N

=\bold{\purple{\boxed{21 N}}}

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Clearly

\large{\boxed{25N> 21N}}

Or, the Force applied by 1st team is greater than the Force applied by the second team.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Thus the team applying \large{\red{\boxed{7N,\:10N\: and \:8N}}} will win.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Net Force:

= 25N - 21N

= 4N towards the winning side
