Answer:

How many molecules of water and oxygen atoms are present in 0.9g of water?

Atomic Mass of H = 1 a.m.u

Atomic Mass of O = 16 a.m.u

Therefore Relative Molecular Mass of Water ( H2O ) is

1(2) + 16(1) = 2 + 16 = 18

Therefore, 1 mole of Water contains 18 g of Water.

0.9 g of Water hence contains 0.05 moles of Water.

Avogadro's Number = 6.023×1023

Hence, 1 mole of Water contains 6.023×1023 molecules of Water.

Therefore, 0.05 moles contains 0.05×6.023×1023 molecules which is 3.0115×1022 molecules.

For the second part of your question, the number of water molecules equals the number of atoms of oxygen since each water molecule contains only 1 oxygen atom.

Therefore, the number of oxygen atoms is same which is 3.0115×1022
