Formulae for sulphuric acid :

H₂SO₄

Molar mass of sulphuric acid :

2 + 32 + 16 × 4 = 98g/mol

Moles = 5/98 = 0.05102moles

Molarity = moles of solute per litre of the solution

Molarity = 0.05102 × 1000/250 = 0.20408 M

Normality = number of hydrogen ions × molarity

Since sulphuric acid is a dibasic acid, there are 2 hydrogen ions hence.

Normality = 0.20408 × 2 = 0.40816 N
