Calculate the number of atoms in 2 MOLES of a

(i) monoatomic, and

(ii) diatomic gas at NTP.


please elobrate the answer that how you got the answer ​

Answer:

1 mole having molecules is equal to avogadro constant

and Avogadro constant= 6.022 * 10^23

so

(i) for 2 mole monoatomic gas no of atoms

=2 * Avogadro constant

= 2 * 6.022 * 10^23

= 12.044 * 10^23 atoms

(ii) for 2 mole of diatomic gas no of atoms

= 2 * ( Avogadro constant/2)

= 2 * ((6.022 * 10^23)/2)

= 6.022 * 10^23 atoms
