Explanation:

So, 342 gm sugar contains = 1 mole = 6.022 x 1023 molecules of sugar. Now, 1 molecule of sugar contains 12 carbon atoms, 22 H-atoms and 11 O-atoms.

gram molecular mass(C12H22O11)=12×12+1×22+16×11

=144+22+176

=342g

no of moles = given mass/g.m.m.

= 6.84/342

=0.02 mol

no of moles= no of molecules×6.022×10^23

= 0.02×6.022×10^23

=1.2044×10^22molecules

no of C atoms=12×1.2044×10^22

= 14.452×10^22 atoms

no of H atoms = 22×1.2044×10^22

= 26.496×10^22 atoms

no of O atoms= 11×1.2044×10^22

= 13.248×10^22atoms
