Given:

24g of Helium.

To  Find:

The number of atoms in it.

Solution:

We know that the molar mass of Helium is 4g,  i.e. 4g of Helium contains 1 mole of Helium.

Number of moles in 24 g of Helium = Given mass (m)/ Molar mass (M)

                                                           = 24/4

                                                           = 6 moles.

Number of atoms in 1 mole of Helium  =N_A=6.022*10^{23}

Number of atoms in 6 moles of Helium =6N_A=3.613*10^{24}

Hence, the number of atoms in 24 g of Helium is equal to 3.613*10^{24}.
