Given Ion is K+
Atomic number of  K+ ion is 19
So number of Protons= 19
As one electron is removed , so number of electrons=18
Mass number= Number of protons +number of neutrons
40=19+number of neutrons
number of neutrons=40-19=21

So 40K+ has 18 electrons, 19 protons and 21 neutrons
