the electronic configuration of chlorine is 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s² 3p⁵

we know that M shell is the 3rd shell

⇒ each chlorine atom contains 7 electrons in its M shell

we know that 1 mole of chlorine weighs 35.5 grams

⇒ 4 moles of chlorine weighs of chlorine weights 142 grams

we know that 1 mole of chlorine contains 6.023 × 10²³ atoms

⇒ 4 moles of chlorine contains 24.092 × 10²³ atoms

142 grams of chlorine contains 24.092 × 10²³ atoms and as stated each atom of chlorine contains 7 atoms in its M shell

⇒ 142 grams of chlorine contains 24.092 × 7 × 10²³ electrons in its M shell

⇒ 142 grams of chlorine contains 1.6822 × 10²⁵ electrons in its M shell.
