avogadro's number= 6.023 x 10^23

number of moles of gold = given mass / atomic mass

                                          = 98/197

                                         = 0.5 mol

thus number of gold atoms = no of moles  x  avogrado's number

                                            = 0.5 x 6.023 x 10^23

                                           = 3.0115 x  10^23
