Given:

  • The angle between 2 mirrors is 45°

To Find:

  • The number of images formed

Solution:

We know that,

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \dag \: \:  \:  \bigg( \bf \: no.of \: images (n) =  \frac{360}{ \theta}  \bigg)

Incase,

  • completing the calculation using the above mentioned formula, If you get the answer in even terms you have to subtract 1 from the final answer to make it odd.

Here,

  • θ = 45°

Substituting we get,

 \longrightarrow \tt \: n =  \frac{360}{ \theta}  \\  \\  \\  \longrightarrow \tt \: n =  \cancel \frac{360}{45}  \\  \\  \\  \longrightarrow \tt \: n =  \cancel \frac{40}{5}  \:  \\  \\  \\  \longrightarrow \tt \: n = { \underline{ \boxed{ \frak{8}}}} \:  \:

  • As the final answer is in even terms let's subtract 1 from it
