We know that 1 byte = 8 bits and 1K = 1024bytes.

Given, 16K bytes = 16 * 1024 * 8.

           Chips required = (16 * 1024 * 8)/(2048 * 8)

                                    = 8.

Answer:64

Explanation:

we know that,

Number of chip = Require size of memory / Available size of memory

                                     = 8KB / 1024*1

                                     = 8 * 1024 * 8 / 1024 * 1

                                     = 64

Total 64 chips are needed to design 8k memory...
