Answer:

Number of atoms in 0.3moles of SO_{2} is 18.062×10^{23} and molecule is 0.0277×10^{23}

Explanation:

(1) For atoms:-

1mole of SO_{2} contains 1mole of S and 2 mole of O atoms.

no. of S atoms= 6.022×10^{23}

no. of O atoms= 2× 6.022×10^{23}

                        = 12.04×10^{23}

Therefore total no. of atoms in SO_{2} = 6.022×10^{23} + 12.04×10^{23}

                                                          = 18.062×10^{23}

(2) For molecules:-

The molar mass of SO_{2} = 32+ 16+ 16

                                       = 64g/mol

we know,   no. of moles = \frac{given mass}{molar mass}

no.of moles of SO_{2} = \frac{0.3}{64} = 0.0046 mol

1 mole of any substance contains Avogadro's number of molecules= 6.022×10^{23}

thus, the no. of molecules of SO_{2} present in 0.3g = 0.0046× 6.022×10^{23}

                                                                                  = 0.0277 ×10^{23}
