Since 1 mole of CO2 is 44 g... and you have 1/2 of a mole, you have one half the number of molecules in one mole;6.02 x 10^23/ 2. Since there is only 1 carbon atom in each molecule, this is your answer. thus 22gm CO2 has3.011x10^23 C atoms.
