The molar mass of NaCl is 58.5

let calculate no. of moles of NaCl

no. of moles of NaCl=given mass÷ molar mass

=5.85÷58.5

=0.1

no. of molecules = moles NaCl × 6.022× 10^23 =6.022×10^22molecules

Given: 5.85 g of Sodium chloride.

To find: We have to find the number of molecules.

Solution:

The formula of sodium chloride is NaCl. It has a molar mass of 58.5grmas.

We know that 58.5 grams of sodium chloride have 6.023×10^{23} number of molecules.

Thus 5.85 grams of sodium chloride have 6.023×10^{23}×58.5/5.85=6.023×10^{24} number of molecules.

Thus 5.85 g of Sodium chloride has 6.023×10^{24} number of molecules.
