Number of moles = Given mass / Molar mass

So N2 has molar mass as 2 * N

= 14 × 2 = 28g

Number of moles = 45 / 28

= 1.607 moles of N2 are present.

Hope it helps!

molecular weight of N2=2 (14)
=28 g
Number of moles =45/28
=1.609 moles
1.609 moles in 45 g of N2.
